Veaceslav “Slava” Glijin, PA-C
Slava Glijin is an optimistic and passionate PA-C looking forward to making a significant impact in the lives of all of his patients here at NWMS. He will be based out of our Puyallup clinic.
When asked about what drew him to a career in Medicine, Slava had this to say:
“Medicine was an honorable and challenging vocation I aspired to throughout my young life. I have always envisaged working closely with medically underserved people in an intellectually stimulating environment. A career in medicine was one of the best ways to achieve this, blending the analytical thinking of a scientist with the compassion of a career.
The constant intellectual challenges were at the core of my desire to become a skilled healthcare professional, and after graduating from medical school, I endeavored to take an active role in the clinical research field.
My medical and cultural background will make me unique in interacting with a broad population of local patients and healthcare professionals allowing me to efficiently support diversity and inclusion in the learning and work environment. Admittance to a respectable program such as the MEDEX Northwest PA program at UW Medicine was neither the beginning nor the end of my career endeavors; it was just the next step of my professional journey to passionately staying at the service of the people.”
Slava has also spent time teaching in medicine, with experience as an Instructor of General Surgery at the National Medical College in Chisinau, Moldova.
