Dan Labriola, ND, PEng

Dr. Labriola founded Northwest Natural Health Specialty Care Clinic in 1985, and currently serves as clinic Director.
A graduate of Syracuse University and Bastyr University, Dr. Labriola is a pioneer in integrative care. He is the recipient of many awards, has served in government and non-profit leadership positions, published several highly-respected scientific papers and is a consultant for a number of area hospitals specializing in the appropriate use of alternative medicine and complementary therapies for patients currently involved in conventional medical treatments.
Northwest Natural Health, in partnership with Northwest Medical Specialties, is pleased to introduce our newest provider, Morgan Schuster, ND. Dr. Schuster is a graduate of Bastyr University and has successfully completed the additional postgraduate Northwest Natural Health comprehensive specialty training and accreditation.
The accreditation program is an important part of the services our group provides because it allows us to integrate our care seamlessly, safely and effectively with the state-of-the-art cancer care provided by Northwest Medical Specialties. Our evidence-based strategies include a special emphasis on oncology, avoiding drug-nutrient interactions and managing a wide range of quality of life issues that frequently accompany a cancer diagnosis and treatment and which have not responded to usual standard of care.
In addition to integrative oncology, Dr. Schuster’s special interests are in women’s health and IV nutrition therapy, custom-designed for each patient to alleviate troublesome adverse effects from cancer and treatment.
Nitin Thapa, ND
Dr. Thapa is a native of Nepal and a graduate of the Tver State Medical Academy, Russia — Europe’s oldest, prestigious medical academy, where he received specialty clinical training in family medicine. As an MD, he practiced internal medicine at Bir Hospital, Kathmandu, Nepal and at the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Kanti Children’s Hospital, Kathmandu Nepal.
In pursuit of his interest in integrative medicine, Dr. Thapa additionally trained and graduated from Bastyr University in 2017 with a degree of Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine. He finished his residency in Pediatric focused Naturopathic Family Medicine in 2020 and Adjunctive Oncology training in 2021.
Dr. Thapa effectively combines integrative therapies in collaboration with medical specialty care, keeping the patient as strong and healthy as possible, guiding patients to avoid self-treatments that can interfere with medical specialty care, and adding value with prevention and other long-term strategies.
He is focused on treating the whole person, listening carefully, and communicating effectively including answering patient questions completely and coordinating seamlessly with other providers providing care for the patient and making sure that patient is compliant with the recommendations.
When he is not providing patient care, he enjoys hiking, nature photography, country music and supporting community health & wellness programs.
