“Cancer care is not just about the diagnosis—it’s about ensuring every patient receives care tailored to their unique story, goals and values.”
Dr. Ashley Elizabeth Aller, MD, is a board-certified medical oncologist with special interests in breast, thoracic, skin and neuroendocrine cancers. She earned her medical degree from Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Chicago Health System (NorthShore) before pursuing a Hematology/Oncology fellowship at Kaiser Permanente Northern California, where she also served as Chief Fellow and Delivery Science Oncology Research Fellow. Her research interests include quality improvement, molecular diagnostics, survivorship and precision medicine.
Dr. Aller is passionate about real-world data, molecular testing applications, and goal-concordant care delivery. Her work emphasizes the evolving role of genetic profiling in breast cancer and chemotherapy decision-making. She has worked extensively on quality improvement initiatives, including survivorship tools, procedure training, and innovative methods to improve oncologic learning.
She is an active member of ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncology), the American Society of Hematology, and the American College of Physicians, and contributed to workgroups on pharmacogenomics and molecular diagnostics. Her research on breast cancer and goals of care discussions has received recognition at ASCO Quality Care Symposium, American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) and San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS).
Dr. Aller pursued a career in oncology to blend scientific discovery with compassionate patient care. Her interest in cancer medicine grew from an early passion for the art of medicine, problem-solving and understanding the intricate pathways that drive disease. She strives to ensure that every patient receives personalized, evidence-based treatment while navigating the complexities of their diagnosis with dignity and support.
Beyond her medical career, Dr. Aller enjoys painting, photography, and classic films, finding inspiration in artistic expression. She has a deep appreciation for art and history museums, often exploring new perspectives through creative mediums and emerging technologies. Her ability to integrate analytical thinking with creativity reflects both her scientific rigor and her holistic approach to patient care.
Dr. Aller will be primarily working out of our Puyallup and Tacoma clinics.
