Dr. Tom Boyd is a board-certified Hematologist and Medical Oncologist. He completed his formal training at the University of Texas (Dallas) and at the University of Iowa. He has worked in Washington and Oregon since 1985.
Dr. Boyd has been involved in clinical cancer research since the early 1980’s. His work in early Phase I trials helped to gain approval for several key cancer drugs widely used today.
He and his wife of 43 years, Dr. Rebecca Lang-Boyd, have two grown children and three grandchildren. They currently reside in Yakima, WA.
In his spare time, Dr. Boyd enjoys hiking in the Cascades with his wife, running a small apple orchard in Yakima, traveling and cooking with his wife, and wilderness sea kayaking on the coast of Vancouver Island.
