October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to honor the courage of those impacted by breast cancer and celebrate the survivors whose stories inspire us every day.
On October 14, 2026, The Journey Fund will host Blau & Blair: A Toast to Tatas, a special evening dedicated to celebrating breast cancer survivors in our community. The event will bring survivors, caregivers, supporters, and community partners together for a night of connection, gratitude, and celebration.
Survivors are invited to attend at no cost and may bring one guest or caregiver. The evening will feature dinner, dancing, a Dessert Dash, a silent auction, and opportunities to connect with others who understand the cancer journey firsthand. Most importantly, it will provide a meaningful space to recognize the resilience, strength, and perseverance of breast cancer survivors.
Events like Toast to Tatas reflect the power of community support. While cancer treatment focuses on healing the body, emotional support, connection, and celebration are equally important parts of survivorship. Bringing survivors together reminds us that no one faces cancer alone.
Proceeds from the event support The Journey Fund and its mission of helping cancer patients overcome the financial and social-emotional challenges that often accompany a cancer diagnosis. Funds raised through sponsorships, auction donations, and community support help the organization continue providing resources to patients and families throughout our region.
Community members and local businesses can also play an important role by contributing desserts, auction items, gift certificates, experiences, services, or sponsorship support. Every contribution helps make this celebration possible while supporting patients facing cancer-related hardships.
