NWMS at COA 2026

NWMS had the privilege of attending the 2026 Community Oncology Conference in Orlando earlier this month. The event brought together leaders, advocates, and innovators united by a shared commitment to advancing cancer care nationwide.

Leadership at the Forefront

We’re proud to recognize our own Dr. Sibel Blau, President; Amy Ellis, CEO; and Abra Kelson, Director of Quality and Value-Based Care, who served as panelists at the conference. Their perspectives helped drive meaningful conversations focused on shaping the future of oncology care.

Their participation reflects NWMS’ continued commitment to innovation, excellence, and leadership within the oncology community.

Advocacy in Action

Also representing NWMS was our Community Oncology Alliance Patient Advocacy Network (CPAN) chapter. Co-chairs Sifa Herady Bandale and Kim Ngouv highlighted the critical role advocacy plays in driving meaningful change. Their presence highlighted how collaboration between oncology professionals, patients, and families leads to better care and stronger, more informed policy decisions.

Seeing our CPAN chapter in action reinforces the importance of elevating patient and caregiver voices. These perspectives bring clarity, urgency, and real-world insight to the decisions that shape oncology care.

The Power of Collaboration and Innovation

The conference underscored a central theme: progress in cancer care depends on collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. By bringing together clinical expertise and lived experiences, organizations like NWMS and COA are helping to create a more responsive, patient-centered healthcare system.

Our team returns from the conference inspired, recharged, and even more committed to advancing care for the patients and families we serve.
