Supporting Patients Beyond Treatment with The Journey Fund
Beyond its focus on collaboration and innovation, the event also supported a meaningful cause by raising funds for The Journey Fund, a nonprofit dedicated to helping cancer patients throughout the South Puget Sound region access critical non-medical support during treatment.
The Journey Fund was created after recognizing a growing need in the community to support patients beyond clinical care. While NWMS provides exceptional oncology treatment, The Journey Fund helps address the everyday challenges that can impact a patient’s ability to focus on healing.
The organization works closely alongside healthcare providers and community partners to help remove barriers to care by assisting with transportation, groceries, housing support, and other essential day-to-day needs. Through this collaborative approach, The Journey Fund supports not only NWMS patients, but individuals and families across the South Puget Sound region navigating the cancer journey.
